Blue Door GIS has been assisting Illinois Electric Cooperative with their GIS needs since 2013. Our role has been one of assisting the engineers with work order backlogs, map editing and database management. Recently we have helped prepare their GIS database for conversion from ATS to Futura.
Since 2013, Blue Door GIS has been serving Exponential Engineering Company in the role of providing GIS consulting and analysis services. Projects have included the Decorah, IA Frederick, CO and Boulder/Xcel Energy municipalization projects as well as the Barbuda electric rebuild. With ten years of experience working for electric co-operatives and fifteen years of database management, Blue Door GIS can provide GIS services to utility projects of any size.
From 2012 to 2018 Blue Door GIS provided GIS services to Empire Electric Association, a rural electric cooperative in Cortez, Colorado. Alisa served as Empire Electric’s GIS Analyst from 2007 to 2012 as an employee of the cooperative until a relocation resulted in the contracting relationship. We provided contracting services for their continuing GIS needs and helped with database maintenance and upkeep. Empire Electric was an ATS CIS/GIS/OMS client and used Partner software for staking, ArcGIS Online and Collector for field data collection and viewing with enterprise ESRI ArcMap as its mapping backbone.
